Staff Personnel

Relations To Pupils And Public

In general, students are the responsibility of the professional staff.  However, as noted below, non-licensed personnel should assume responsibility for students.

1.        A bus driver is responsible for the students on his/her bus

           when he/she is in charge of the students.

2.        Teacher associates and secretaries are designated to deal with

           students in attendance and related matters.

3.        A custodian is in charge of a building during “off” hours when

           he/she is present.

4.        Playground supervisors are responsible for students during

           their assigned employment time.

5.        Any time students are behaving in an unruly or destructive

           manner at a school function or while on school property, non-

           certificated personnel are to assume authority in the matter.
