Vacations & Holidays
Employees other than administrators, supervisors, and other nonlicensed employees not covered under collective bargaining agreements shall be paid for holidays and vacations in accordance with the negotiated agreement with their bargaining representative. This policy refers to administrators, supervisors, and nonlicensed employees not covered under collective bargaining agreements.
Holidays:
Administrators, supervisors and nonlicensed employees, other than temporary employees, shall be paid for the following holidays that occur during the time they are scheduled to work:
New Year’s Day President’s Day Memorial Day July 4th Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day
No employee will be paid more hours at holiday pay than he/she would have been scheduled to work on that given day. If a nonlicensed employee works on a holiday, he/she will be paid double for all hours worked.
Vacations:
Paid vacation days for administrators shall be as negotiated with the Board of Directors.
Full-time nonlicensed employees who work twelve (12) months per year shall be entitled to paid vacation as follows:
The first year of service - 10 days Each year thereafter they receive one additional day for up to 20 days
Vacation time shall not accrue and may not be carried over from one year to the next. The superintendent shall establish vacation schedules. All vacations shall be taken during the summer months, except by special arrangements with the superintendent or the Board of Directors.
