Student Insurance

General - An all-pupil insurance program may be offered to the parents of students in the district.  The board of directors, upon recommendation of the superintendent, shall select the insurance company.  The purchase of student insurance shall be voluntary with the entire cost being paid by the student or his/her parents.

Athletic -  The board of directors strongly recommends that a student participating in interscholastic athletics be adequately insured.  A policy from an insurance company may be obtained through the school.  If a parent wishes his/her child to participate without insurance, he/she must submit a written statement to the athletic director, accepting full responsibility for all accidents and related costs for injuries.
