Mental Health Minute

Hey DC Elementary Families!

Welcome to this month's Mental Health Minute. We are continuing our discussions on resilience, the ability to bounce back from difficult situations. As parents we want to protect our children as much as possible, but despite this we know they are going to be faced with challenges, tough situations, and strong emotions. This month and next month we will be focusing on the skills of Coping and Control as a way of developing resilience. and giving you a mini Social Skills lesson so you can see what your children are learning. I have attached some studies and information that talk about the positive impact of Social Skills curriculums with students. Have a great week, and see you next month.
