DC FBLA takes 6 top 10 finishes with 5 advancing to Nationals! Iowa FBLA has grown so much, and our DC students still hold their own! We're so proud of their drive to succeed! Natalie Cook and Claire Garland are heading to Nationals with their 4th place finish in Intro to Social Media Strategies! Zachary Mason placed 9th in Cyber Security! He also competed in Customer Service - while he did not get to go across the stage for this one, it still deserves a mention because it had another round of cuts for which he advanced to be in Top 15! Sophia Ermakov swept the competition! She is outstanding! She placed 2nd in Business Communication, 1st in Business Law, 1st in Insurance & Risk Management, and 1st in Project Management.

This week has been a celebration of academic excellence at DCHS- beginning with the SCC Academic Honors Banquet. This special evening recognized the top 5% of each school's graduating class. Representing DCHS were Lydia Barker, Camron Hubbartt, Hayden Humphrey, Halle Husted, and Mary Luffy.

Last night a total of 59 students were honored, grades 9-12, for their academic achievements at the Davis County High School Academic Honors Reception. To earn this recognition, students must meet the following standards:
• Freshmen must achieve a 4.0 GPA during their first semester of high school
• Sophomores, juniors, and seniors must maintain at least a 3.75 GPA across the second semester of last year and the first semester of this year
• All honorees must also score at the proficient or advanced proficient level on their most recent ISASP assessments

We are incredibly proud of these students for the way they represent Mustang academics. Their commitment to excellence, strong work ethic, and dedication to learning set a high standard for our entire school community. They truly embody what it means to be a Mustang, and we look forward to all they will accomplish in the future. Congratulations!
