National Read Aloud to a Child Week
DC Elementary Parents! Thursday, October 19th is our first scheduled 12:30 early dismissal for the 2023-2024 school year. Please make sure to send a note or call the Elementary office to let us know your child's after school plans for the early dismissal if it differs from their normal after school routine. This will help us make sure the 12:30 dismissal runs as smoothly as possible. Thank you for your help!
The United Women of Faith from the Drakesville United Methodist Church purchased school supplies for students (Pre-school thru Fifth Grade) at the Davis County Elementary school. Thank you so much for donating supplies to help our staff and students have a successful year of school!

DC Elementary Parents! Your student(s) should have come home with a permission slip like the picture below regarding the Homecoming Parade. The office MUST have a signed permission slip for your student to ride a float in the parade. These notes are due to the office by Friday, September 22, 2023.

Please make sure you have filled out the 2023-24 Helpful Transportation Information Form for each of your elementary aged children. This information lets us know your child's after school plans for regular/early dismissal, who is authorized to pick your child up, and if additional mailings are needed for a secondary parent who does not reside in the primary household. Davis County Elementary 2023-24 Preschool Parents! Don't forget to join us Monday, August 7th for our Preschool Parent Meeting. The Preschool Teachers will have a lot of helpful information for the upcoming school year.
The 2023-2024 school year is right around the corner! Please make sure to register your child in the PowerSchool parent portal. For those needing additional assistance, Registration Day is Monday, August 7 11:00AM-7:00PM in the High School Library. We would be happy to help with the registration process and answer any questions you have!

DC Elementary Parents of Preschool and 1st-4th grade students, plan to join us Monday, August 21st for our Back to School Open House event.
**Kindergarten students will be setting up different Meet & Greet times to visit the school, meet their teachers, and bring their school supplies. Letters from the kindergarten teachers will be mailed out to those families with more information.**

With Wigwam Daycare and Preschool being closed on Thursday, May 25th and Friday, May 26th, please make sure that the elementary office knows what your student's plans are supposed to be for school dismissal.
