DC Elementary Parents of Preschool and 1st-4th grade students, plan to join us Thursday, August 18th for our Back to School Open House event.
**Kindergarten students will be setting up different Meet & Greet times to visit the school, meet their teachers, and bring their school supplies. Letters from the kindergarten teachers have been mailed out to those families with more information.**


Reminder: Registration Day is Monday, August 8 11AM - 7PM. Please note the location has changed to the MACC building (the old Indian Hills building west of the high school).

For those who need additional assistance, Registration Day will be held Monday, August 8, 2022 from 11:00AM - 7:00PM in the High School Library.

Summer Reminders for School!
>Incoming Preschool & Kindergarteners: Please turn in completed enrollment packets prior to school starting in the fall.
>Incoming 7th Graders: All 7th grade students need proof of a Tdap booster and a meningococcal vaccine or an exemption certificate.
>Incoming 9th Graders: All 9th grade students should submit a valid dental screening certificate to school in the fall.
>Incoming 12th Graders: All 12th grade students need proof of meningococcal vaccines or an exemption certificate.

Summer Food Update! The facility maintenance scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday, June 2. Due to this change, school buildings will now be closed on Thursday. The Summer Food program will distribute two meals on Wednesday, June 1 to accommodate this closure.

DC Elementary Parents! Friday, May 27th is the last day of school AND a 12:30 early dismissal. Please make sure the elementary office knows what your student's after school plans are for that day if they differ from their normal after school plans. You can send a note with your student or call 641-664-2200 Ext. 4.

Summer Food Update! Due to facility maintenance on Tuesday, May 31, the Summer Food program start date will now be Wednesday, June 1.

DC Elementary Parents! Don't forget that tomorrow is the Elementary Relays! If you plan to pick up your student(s) after their relays please help the elementary office by sending a note or calling 641-664-2200 ext. 4. This will help us make sure the afternoon dismissal goes as smoothly as possible.
To check your student(s) out each teacher will have a sign out sheet in their classroom that you will need to sign.
If the relays are cancelled due to weather we will communicate that as quickly as we can.


Davis County Elementary students were able to participate in a Day of Awesomness yesterday which included carnival games, inflatable obstacle courses, slides, and maze. The weather was perfect and all of the kids had a great time!
This day was put on by the Davis County PIE and the Step It Up! fundraiser that was held last fall.




There are still openings available to receive a free backpack, school supplies and shoes for your kindergarten - 6th grader!

DC Elementary 3rd grade students transformed into inventors, musicians, athletes, artists, presidents, scientists, actors, explorers, and more last Friday in their very own Wax Museum. Thank you to the family and friends who came out to support the students with their project!

The Davis County Elementary Battle of the Books team was composed of fourth and fifth grade students who were encouraged to read all 10 award winning books published in the 1990s for this year's Throwback Themed event. The Elementary Battle of the Books competition took place on Tuesday, April 26th using a virtual format. The DC Bookworms were selected from a group of peers who also took part in reading and discussing the books throughout the school year.


The Scholastic "BUY ONE GET ONE FREE" Book Fair is coming to Davis County Elementary April 25-29, 2022!
