Attention Freshman and Seniors! - A Jostens representative will be meeting with students Monday, Sept 18th regarding class rings and graduation ordering information. The meeting will be held in the HS cafeteria.

He will be returning to the high school on Thursday, Sept 21st to collect orders during the lunch hour.
If your business would like to particpate in this contest, please call the high school office to sign up ASAP so our judges don't miss you!
Businesses are responsible for decorating their own window/store fronts.
Our panel of student judges will come to businesses on Monday, September 25th.
The winning business will receive a Mustang Community Spirit traveling trophy!
The Homecoming parade will be Friday, September 29th. Line up will begin at 12:45 with the parade at 1:30. Convertibles will line up on Crestview Circle to the east of the Baptist Church. All other participants will line up on Southview Drive by the Mutchler Center and go up to Arkansas Ave. Line up is first come, first served, with the high school teams/activities in the front of the line up.

Congratulations to the Davis County High School 2023 September Students of the Month sponsored by Subway and Mimi's Kitchen! To receive this award, students are nominated by their teachers/coaches for demonstrating great character, work ethic, and responsibility, among other qualities, and presented with a Student of the Month certificate, a free 6 inch meal at Subway, and a free ice cream at Mimi's kitchen.
Attention DCHS students and parents of students that are currently enrolled in an IHCC program or class that takes place on IHCC campus -
In an effort to fully support our students attending IHCC Classes/Academies in locations other than Davis County High School, your presence is requested on September 20 from 5:30 - 6pm in the high school cafeteria.
As we continue to grow in our partnership with IHCC to offer many pathways and opportunities to our students, new information tends to arise each year. With new information, it is imperative to your student's success that we share this information and ensure that we are all on the same page in order to help students be most successful in IHCC coursework.
Please plan to attend this brief meeting on Wednesday, September 20 at 5:30pm in the high school cafeteria. It is important for a parent/legal guardian and students to attend.

It's September, which means homecoming is right around the corner!
September 29th is the official Homecoming date!
If you are interested in participating in the homecoming parade or you have a nice convertible you are willing to drive our homecomig court winners in, please call the high school office as soon as possible to sign up.
New this year, we would like to invite our community businesses to participate in a window decorating competition!
How it will work:
*Businesses that wish to participate will call the high school office before September 15th to sign up.
**Decorate your window before Monday, September 25th and leave your decorations for all to see for the entire week of homecoming!
***Monday, September 25th, our panel of student judges will visit each participating business and cast their votes! The business with the most votes will receive our Mustang Community Spirit traveling trophy that your business can proudly display until the following year when we will do it all again!!

DCHS Block Party was a success despite the high temps! What a great way to start the school year!

DCHS Block Party has been moved to the shade outside to the east of the old building next to the football field! First 20 JUNIORS and SENIORS to come in the door get a free custom Davis Co Mustang water bottle!

Freshman and new student orientation is TONIGHT beginning at 5:30 in the high school commons followed by the Back to School Block Party! All 9th-12th students and families are encouraged to attend the block party beginning at 6pm!
Class of 2023, if you ordered a yearbook, you can pick it up from the High School office. If you can't make it in to get it, you can have someone else pick it up and deliver it to you. Contact Mrs. Ware with any yearbook-related questions.
All additional yearbooks will be delivered to students at school by August 30th. If you didn't order one but would like one, make sure to contact Mrs. Ware to get on a waiting list.

We have lots of fun things planned including popcorn, bouncy house, rock climbing wall (donated by the Iowa Army National Guard), pull-up bar challenge (donated by Marines), cornhole tournament, ice cream, club sign-ups, Monte the Mustang, face painting and more!
Be sure to sign up at the prize table when you arrive. We will be giving away LOTS of great items that include gift cards, swag bags, custom DC water bottles, pool pass, just to name a few. Also, see the Junior Optimist table to embark on the Selfie Scavenger hunt for even more prize opportunities!
Our band, choir, cheerleaders and color guard will be pumping everyone up for the year with the school song!
The cornhole tournament is sponsored by DCHS Student Council and winners will receive a FREE activity pass for the year! All proceeds will go to student council to help with even MORE fun student activities throughout the school year.
This is definitely an event you don't want to miss! ALL 9th-12th grade students and family are welcome to attend!
The 2023-2024 school year is right around the corner! Please make sure to register your child in the PowerSchool parent portal. For those needing additional assistance, Registration Day is Monday, August 7 11:00AM-7:00PM in the High School Library. We would be happy to help with the registration process and answer any questions you have!
