Sophomore Students and Parents, On Thursday, October 7, sophomore students and any juniors and seniors interested will take the ASVAB Career Exploration Exam. This program provides high quality career exploration and planning materials to high schools throughout the country. It encourages students to explore a wide variety of careers. The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world, and will assist students in making decisions about college and/or careers while considering knowledge they have gained about their interests, values, talents and abilities. Tomorrow evening the Davis County Cattleman will be grilling once again for us! Our students and parents of the Speech Club will be assisting you with the following menu: Ribeye Sandwich $10 Hamburger $4 Hotdog $2 We will have popcorn/candy/pop/water as well. It looks to be a great night for HOMECOMING! Go Mustangs!!

HOMECOMING PARADE Parade line up will begin at 12:45 and the parade will start at 1:30. Convertibles will line up on Crestview Circle to the east of the Baptist Church. All other participants will line up on Southview Drive by the Mutchler Center and will go up to Arkansas Ave. The parade route is the same as past years and is attached. Happy Homecoming!!

Dear Davis County, Under new IDPH guidance, Davis County CSD will no longer be sending notifications to possible contacts of a COVID-19 case at school. Just as with all illnesses there is risk of possible exposure any day we are around others. Welcome back Davis County High School Students, all of us are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!! We do want to remind those that drive to be careful when coming to school and to use caution when entering and exiting the parking lots. Currently, parking lot lines are not visible but will painted in the very near future. We do have two parking lots that all students can use, the south parking lot and the east parking lot. Get a good night's rest and be ready to go in the morning!

Attention: Seniors who graduated this spring (2021) If you ordered a High School Yearbook you may pick them up in the office Monday- Friday 7:30 am- 4:00 pm ALL OTHER STUDENTS will receive their yearbooks when they return to school next week.

Davis County Hospital & Clinics and Davis County Public Health are working together to complete the 2022 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for Davis County. You may also fill out the survey in paper form by contacting Davis County Hospital & Clinics at 641-664-7093. All surveys must be received by August 6th, 2021. Completing a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) is a federal requirement for non-profit hospitals and must be completed at least every three years with input from the broader community, including public health. Data from this CHNA survey will help health care providers and community organizations improve the overall health and wellness of our community, and identify community needs, establish priorities for programs and services, and inform strategies to address gaps between critical needs and services. All Davis County, Iowa residents and business leaders are encouraged to participate. Included in the 2022 CHNA surveys are questions dealing with community health regarding service delivery, fitness, nutrition, and access to care.
