
Tonight our Davis County Mustangs Football team will face off with the Cardinal Comets for a Varsity only game beginning at 7 pm.
Concessions tonight will be provided by Slicks Catering with the help of Davis County Music Boosters.

Band Boosters will be selling drinks, candy and popcorn.

Davis County High School student government has elected not to hold a homecoming dance this year. Please direct any questions to the high school office.

Homecoming t-shirts will be for sale at the home football game tomorrow evening. Adult sizes small-2XL available by first come, first served. $12 each. All proceeds go to student council! Attached is the t-shirt design created by senior, Leah Rudd.

Vote at the courthouse Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM through Monday, September 12 or at polling locations on Tuesday, September 13.

Homecoming is creeping up on us again! The Homecoming parade will be Friday, September 23. Line up will begin at 12:45 with the parade at 1:30. Convertibles will line up on Crestview Circle to the east of the Baptist Church. All other participants will line up on Southview Drive by the Mutchler Center and go up to Arkansas Ave. Line up is first come, first served, with the high school teams/activities in the front of the line up.

Reminder: Registration Day is Monday, August 8 11AM - 7PM. Please note the location has changed to the MACC building (the old Indian Hills building west of the high school).

For students that wish to obtain a school permit, there will be a student/parent meeting held on Monday, August 8th in the high school commons at 11:00am. Mrs. Donels will be signing forms during this time. You MUST meet the following requirements to attend this meeting: have your permit for at least 6 months, live at least one mile from the school, and have completed and paid for a driver’s education course. Please contact the high school office with any questions.

Summer Reminders for School!
>Incoming Preschool & Kindergarteners: Please turn in completed enrollment packets prior to school starting in the fall.
>Incoming 7th Graders: All 7th grade students need proof of a Tdap booster and a meningococcal vaccine or an exemption certificate.
>Incoming 9th Graders: All 9th grade students should submit a valid dental screening certificate to school in the fall.
>Incoming 12th Graders: All 12th grade students need proof of meningococcal vaccines or an exemption certificate.

Tonight's softball game has now been canceled due to wet field conditions.

Tonight's baseball has been pushed back to a 7:00 start time. Only varsity will be playing.

We want to give a HUGE shout out to our Davis County Students who compete in JH/HS Rodeo! We have some super talented individuals who compete in rodeos all over the state racking up points to make it to the finals. We have 4 Junior High Students who have made the National Finals, Grady Sprouse, Teagan Snyder, Augusta Warren and Bryson Sprouse. Congratulations and we wish you all the best of luck! This weekend the Iowa High School Rodeo Association State Finals will be held at the Davis County Fairgrounds. We wish the best of luck to Chance Fleming, Dawson Davis and Isabelle Carnahan who will be competing this weekend.
