Reminder: Registration Day is Monday, August 8 11AM - 7PM. Please note the location has changed to the MACC building (the old Indian Hills building west of the high school).

For students that wish to obtain a school permit, there will be a student/parent meeting held on Monday, August 8th in the high school commons at 11:00am. Mrs. Donels will be signing forms during this time. You MUST meet the following requirements to attend this meeting: have your permit for at least 6 months, live at least one mile from the school, and have completed and paid for a driver’s education course. Please contact the high school office with any questions.

Summer Reminders for School!
>Incoming Preschool & Kindergarteners: Please turn in completed enrollment packets prior to school starting in the fall.
>Incoming 7th Graders: All 7th grade students need proof of a Tdap booster and a meningococcal vaccine or an exemption certificate.
>Incoming 9th Graders: All 9th grade students should submit a valid dental screening certificate to school in the fall.
>Incoming 12th Graders: All 12th grade students need proof of meningococcal vaccines or an exemption certificate.

Tonight's softball game has now been canceled due to wet field conditions.

Tonight's baseball has been pushed back to a 7:00 start time. Only varsity will be playing.

We want to give a HUGE shout out to our Davis County Students who compete in JH/HS Rodeo! We have some super talented individuals who compete in rodeos all over the state racking up points to make it to the finals. We have 4 Junior High Students who have made the National Finals, Grady Sprouse, Teagan Snyder, Augusta Warren and Bryson Sprouse. Congratulations and we wish you all the best of luck! This weekend the Iowa High School Rodeo Association State Finals will be held at the Davis County Fairgrounds. We wish the best of luck to Chance Fleming, Dawson Davis and Isabelle Carnahan who will be competing this weekend.





Summer Food Update! The facility maintenance scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday, June 2. Due to this change, school buildings will now be closed on Thursday. The Summer Food program will distribute two meals on Wednesday, June 1 to accommodate this closure.

There will be a student/parent meeting on Thursday, May 26 in the high school commons for any students enrolled in the following courses for the 2022-2023 school year.
6:00pm - IHCC Career Academy & IHCC Discovery Academy
6:30pm - IHCC Online Courses, IHCC Zoom Courses, Personalized Learning Courses, and Concurrent Enrollment Courses
These courses are only offered to incoming juniors and seniors. If you are interested in taking a course, but you have not filled out the google form emailed by Mrs. Wilfawn, please complete the google form or attend the meeting and fill out an application in person. Questions may be directed to the high school guidance office.

Students can stay active this summer by attending Summer Volleyball Camp! Return registration/waiver form and registration fee by May 27, 2022. See forms for further details. Summer Food Update! Due to facility maintenance on Tuesday, May 31, the Summer Food program start date will now be Wednesday, June 1.

The 2022 Davis County High School graduation ceremony will be held Sunday, May 22 at 2:00pm in Mustang Stadium (weather permitting). If needed, it will be moved inside the high school gym. This event will be live streamed on the school's Facebook and YouTube channel.
Seniors, graduation rehearsal is Wednesday, May 18th at 10am in the high school gym. Attendance is mandatory unless approved in advance by Mrs. Donels. Senior class picnic will follow rehearsal in the city park. Please contact the office with any questions.


There will be a meeting held on Wednesday, May 25 for incoming freshman students and parents. This will be in the high school commons at 6pm. Class requests for next school year will be done at this time. Please see the attached letter that was mailed to families last week. Contact the high school guidance office with any questions.

Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday, May 15th at 7:00pm in the High School gymnasium.
Seniors/Senior Parents - Cap & gowns went home today. Please ensure that they fit, zippers work, etc. If there are any problems please let the office know immediately. Hang them up or steam them to help them be wrinkle free!
Students will wear gowns only at baccalaureate. Please meet in the weight room at 6:45. Please direct any questions to the high school office at 641.664.2200 ext 1132.
