Our Davis County Horse Evaluation Team is competing at the National FFA Convention today and tomorrow in Indianaplis, Indiana. They are competing against chapters from 46 other states. Today they will be judging 8 classes of horses (halter & performance), giving 4 sets of oral reasons and taking a test over horse breeds and equipment. Tomorrow they will be completing a variety of team events which will include a team presentation and problem solving activities. We would like to wish them the best of luck as they compete!

Come out on Monday for our Breast Cancer Awareness walk! Please note the time change from the previous post. It will now be from 4pm-8pm.

Congratulations to the Davis County High School 2023 October Students of the Month sponsored by Subway and Mimi's Kitchen! To receive this award, students are nominated by their teachers/coaches for demonstrating great character, work ethic, and responsibility, among other qualities, and presented with a Student of the Month certificate, a free 6 inch meal at Subway, and a free treat at Mimi's kitchen.

Senior parents and students are encouraged to attend this free event! Students attending ANY college are welcome to come and learn more about the FAFSA proccess.

Davis County High School picture day is the morning of Thursday, October 12th. Students that have IHCC classes in the mornings may come to the school as early as 7am to get their photo taken. Online students are also welcome to come between 7:30am-9:00am. Please call the HS office with any questions or concerns.

Mustang Community Spirit Award

DCHS is proud to present the Mustang Community Spirit Award to Blackboard Printing for the best homecoming window decorations! 2nd -Community 1st Credit Union 3rd - Clover and Bloom 4th - Success Bank 5th - Davis County Law Center Honorable Mention - Mimi's Kitchen We had 16 businesses participate this year. There were so many great windows, it made it hard for the students to choose! Thank you to all that were involved and your support of Davis Co Schools!

September 28, 2023 Sophomore Students and Parents, On Friday, October 6, sophomore students and any juniors and seniors interested, will take the ASVAB Career Exploration Exam. This program provides high quality career exploration and planning materials to high schools throughout the country. It encourages students to explore a wide variety of careers. The ASVAB is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world, and will assist students in making decisions about college and/or careers while considering knowledge they have gained about their interests, values, talents and abilities. We will begin senior night at 6:45 pm, between the 9/JV and Varsity game. Parents, please arrive and meet by the flagpole by 6:15 p.m. We will have parents line up in alphabetical order by sport as follows: Football Band Cheer Cross Country The XC team will be running the game ball into the stadium around this time as well. The Cattlemen's will be serving the meal with the help of the DC Cheerleaders.

FRIDAY SEPT 29th- Due to the homecoming parade, the high school will be dismissing at 12:30pm. This is for the HS ONLY! Buses will still run at regularly scheduled times. If bus students need a place to wait, the HS cafeteria will be available. Please call the high school office with any questions or concerns.

Join us tonight at Mustang Stadium to cheer on the students in Powder Puff Football and Mustang Games! Powder Puff begins at 6pm and Mustang Games at 7pm. Optimist Club will be serving free hot dogs beginning at 6:30. First come, first served! Admission is a canned/boxed food item that will be donated to the HS food pantry. GO MUSTANGS!

The community is invited to come out and watch Ironman Volleyball this evening beginning at 6pm in the HS gym. We have 6 teams signed up that will battle it out to win points towards the Class Cup! We also have a staff team that will take on the winners. Admission to get in is a boxed/canned food item that will be donated to the HS food pantry.

ATTENTION BUSINESS OWNERS - If your business is participating in the homecoming window decorating contest, our student judges have decided to push back the judging until the morning of WEDNESDAY, Sept 27th due to the rain that is anticipated this weekend. Please spread the word!

Congratulations to your 2023 Davis County High School homecoming court! Coronation will take place on Thursday, September 28th at 8:00pm in the high school gym.
