Last week, Art Students joined forces with Speech and Drama to attend Creative Arts Day at William Penn. The kids got to experience improv and stage combat workshops, learn how to design puppets for stage productions, and watch a performance of LADAMA musical talents. A fan favorite workshop was learning how to make their own zombie effects and makeup.
Here are some pics from the day. No competition, but just our students being awesome and having a fun learning experience!

Career-Connected Learning is a focus at DCS from K to 12. Many of our courses and classrooms allow students to explore careers through guest speakers, job shadows, research and more. One message we share with our students is that it is okay to change your mind. We remind them that eliminating choices is still moving forward. Julie Buttell, thank you for sharing your story and showing students that sometimes plans change.
