A $1,000 scholarship for each student was the prize as Sophomores Izabella Shauman, Paxton Benge, Charlotte Snow and Bryson Sprouse won the marketing pitch competition for C&W Services' Shark Tank event. In addition, they will have a trophy belt in our trophy case! The students presented their ideas to a panel of 6 judges, placing above two other schools. They presented well and rocked the Q&A portion of the event. We are very proud! Congratulations, students! Thank you to C&W Services for hosting this event!

Reminder for Senior Parents: FAFSA and Scholarship Information Meeting is Thursday at 6pm. What is the FAFSA? Colleges and career/trade schools use the FAFSA form to determine how much financial aid you're eligible to receive, which could include grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. (That's right, the FAFSA could lead to grants and scholarships - which are free monies!)

What better way to get feedback than to ask the young students, right here at Davis County Schools!? On Monday, our Creative Writing students visited kindergarten and second grade classrooms to read children's books which they have been working on for the past few weeks. The high school students read to several small groups of students and asked for feedback from their listeners. Sharing their stories with the younger students allowed them to put the finishing touches on their project. Through our Creative Writing course, students write poems, short stories, plays, news stories, comic strips, children's books, an autobiography and other types of writing that express creativity.
