The Middle School Boys Track meet for tonight in Ottumwa has been cancelled.
Middle School boys track practice is cancelled for tonight due to the weather conditions.
State FFA Convention Results:
Chapter Display - Gold Rating, Top 10 out of over 175 displays, recognized on stage - Emily Winters and Jenna Marlow.
Farm Business Management Team - Gold Rating - 16th out of 107 teams - Melana Followwill, Luke Farley, Kate Knobloch and Kayla Joos
Melana was placed 6th out of 370 students and only missed 7 questions on the test.
Team Ag Sales - Gold Rating - 14th out of 112 Teams - Grant Hunter, Parker Moore, Cayler Wuthrich and Wyatt McClure.
Grant was our highest individual. He placed 34th out of over 350 students.
Poultry Judging - Gold Rating - 13th out of 125 teams - Emily Wiley, Maddie Barker, Kami Joos, and Saydee Westercamp.
Emily Wiley was our highest individual and placed 44th out of nearly 500 students and was 3rd place in the ready to cook section.
Scarlet Meyer and McKenna Kirkham performed in the State Honor Band and Veronica Yoder performed in the Honor Choir.
Katrianne Knobloch also received her Iowa Degree which is the highest Degree the Iowa FFA awards!
Wyatt Hull volunteer and helped at the Career Development Events .
The group helped pack 1000s of meals for the hungry with Meals from the Heartland!
4/12 Activities: HS Girls Golf at Centerville Tournament, 1:00 start.
HS Boys Golf at Albia Invitational, 1:30 start.
HS Boys Track at Chariton, 3:00 start.
HS Girls Tennis Triangular at Fairfield w/ Ft. Madison, girls will play Ft. Madison and Fairfield after the 3:00 Fairfield vs Ft. Madison match.
The Bloomfield Optimist Club will sponsor their annual Easter Egg Hunt this Saturday, April 16th at the Bloomfield city park beginning at 10:00 AM. Kids ages 3-9 are eligible to participate. Special prizes will be awarded in each age group: 3 and under, 4-5, 6-7, and 8-9. Bring a container to collect your eggs in and have fun. Rain site is the fairgrounds.

Calling all DCMS Foodies! We are excited to host this months after school club, "Foodie Friends." Middle School students will be making smoothies, snacks, desserts, and breakfast foods every Monday & Wednesday in April after school until 5 pm. We will also be learning about table etiquette, reading recipes, and cooking tips & tricks!
We look forward to seeing your student starting tonight - April 27th.
DCMS invites all 5th & 6th grade students to stay after school this Thursday, April 7th until 5pm for an evening of fun! DCMS staff will be supervising Lego Building, Kickball, Coke & Canvas, an escape room, & more! Snacks will be provided as well. BIG thank you to Mrs.Cook and our Student Council for putting all of these activities together! Go Mustangs!

Dennis Anderson Relays - Start time moved up to 4:00 with field events and running. Girls senior recognition will be during the girls 3000 meter run. Boys senior recognition will be after the 4x800.
4/5/2022 Schedule Update: The boys tennis team will travel to Fairfield to take on Maharishi today. The matches will be inside the Punj Tennis Center. 4:15 start.

The Flying Pans Steel Drum Band from Central College will present a concert at the Iowa Theater in Bloomfield on Sunday, April 10th. There will be a workshop for interested students and adults at 1:00 with the concert beginning at 2:00. All students are admitted free. Adult admission is $10.00. The event is partially funded by First State Bank of Iowa, Davis County Music Boosters and the Thomas Stirling Memorial. The concert is sponsored by the Spectrum Center for the Arts. A reception will follow the concert in the Kay Burchette Cultural Center.
