This course is approved by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. It is a 55-hour comprehensive coaching education course that, upon successful completion, will provide participants with the essential knowledge and credentials to earn their coaching authorization license. This is a hybrid class, 12 hours of face-to-face classroom and the additional online course work completed at the participant’s own pace. The face-to-face classroom provides a hands-on component so that coaches know what to do in case of an emergency. Participants will learn how to tape an injury or stop a bleed.
At the completion of the course work, participants will take two tests and need an 80% or better pass rate to receive the Coaching Authorization Certificate from IHCC. Once participants pass and receive our certificate, they can complete their application for coaching authorization with the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, completing all background check forms and submitting all the required fees at www.boee.iowa.gov/licauthorization/coaching-authorization.
The cost of the class is $390.00. Since IHCC has a new Registration Platform, you will need to create a profile to register by clicking on the link below:
https://www.enrole.com/ihcc/jsp/index.jsp
On the upper left-hand side of the screen, you will want to Sign In/Create a New Profile. Everything with an asterisk (*) must be filled out.
Once you have created a profile, you should go to the Shopping Cart. If you go to Relisensure/Vocational, then look for Coaching Authorization. Once you find the class, click on the date, then Add to Cart, then Check Out, where you will pay for the class. There is no Promo Code.
You will geta receipt email immediately, and you will receive additional course information in a separate email within 24 hours
