HF2591, signed into law by Governor Reynolds on June 2, makes two significant changes to athletic eligibility rules:

The transfer and open enrollment period of varsity ineligibility will change from 90 school days to 140 calendar days.
Eighth-grade students may be permitted to participate in high school athletics.
Both changes are scheduled to take effect August 1, 2026.

DC Schools Summer Food Weekly Meal Sign Up

The Davis County Summer Food Program is back this year, offering a non-congregate meal service for children and their families. Starting June 1st, 2026, through August 11th, 2026, the food service department will provide take-home meals for the entire week.

MEAL DETAILS
Each child will receive FREE breakfast and lunch for seven days. Meals include both fresh and frozen items, all in individual packages and a gallon of milk.
Breakfast: Entree, fruit, and milk
Lunch: Entree, fruit, vegetables, and milk

18 years old and under are welcome to participate, regardless of economic status and qualifies for a free 7-day meal and milk package.
