Attention all Football Players and Band/Choir Members, any forms and money from your recent fundraisers MUST BE TURNED IN BY FRIDAY, MARCH 20TH!!
You can bring those to Tish Johnson, who will be in the High School office and Penny Gregory, who will be in the Middle School office from 10:00-2:00 on Wednesday, March 18th, through Friday, March 20th.
Please read this entire message as there is a lot of important information.
Davis County CSD has cancelled all classes and activities through Monday, April 13. Classes will resume on Tuesday, April 14, pending further guidance from the State. While we will not require our students to do any school work during that time, we can offer resources to families who are interested in continued learning. Please stay tuned to the building pages on our website as resources will be posted soon.
Additionally, Prom has been postponed. We are working on if and when it can be rescheduled. Please be responsible about contacting vendors you’ve made arrangements with regarding cancelling or delaying orders.
If your Middle or High School student needs to pick up something essential from the school, you or your student may come 11:00AM - 2:00PM on your designated day. You will be buzzed in and must follow social distancing guidelines.
On Wednesday, March 18 - Students whose last name begins with A-G may come get essentials.
On Thursday, March 19 - Students whose last name begins with H-O may come get essentials.
On Friday, March 20 - Students whose last name begins with P-Z may come get essentials
If your Elementary student needs an essential item from school, please contact the elementary office.
The school nurse will contact parents directly regarding medications.

Parents, students, and Music Booster Supporters,
Mr. Cook spoke with the fundraising company the Music Booster are going through. We are going to collect the forms whenever we all return to school. Give your forms and the money you have collected to your parents to keep in a safe place that you won’t forget about if we don’t return to school for awhile.
The people that purchased items from the fundraiser can be told that they will still receive their items, but it will be significantly later. It is all dependent on when we return. We will set up a new delivery date at that point.
Thank you all for your understanding. We want to do our part in limiting virus exposure by not trying to arrange a form/money turn in date or delivery date in the middle of a pandemic.

Davis County Schools will begin serving meals on Tuesday, March 17. You may pick up meals at our Drive Thru location at the High School 11:00AM - 1:00PM. If you have signed up for delivery, those meals will begin Tuesday as well and will be delivered betweeen 11:00AM - 2:00PM. In light of the Governor’s recommendation to close schools for the next four weeks, as of now, Davis County Schools are cancelling classes for Monday, March 16. No teachers or staff will report tomorrow. Administrators will meet so we can learn more from our state leaders and determine our next steps. As we learn more, we will communicate future plans as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Please see the information below regarding the upcoming Iowa State Assessment of Student Progress Testing. This testing will take place Monday, March 16th through Thursday, March 19th.
Come on down to the High School Commons Tuesday night to enjoy some great music performed by the Davis County Middle School and High School Jazz Bands. The Notes of Sweetness Concert will begin at 7 pm. Admission is $5 per person, with a $20 maximum per family. Desserts will be included with the price of admission! Hope to see you all there!
Mustang Pride Day for High School Students is set for Tuesday, April 14th with a rain date of Wednesday, April 22nd. Please call the high school office at 641-664-2200 ext 1132 if you would like a group of students to assist you with any projects!
Prom and all of its festivities will be on April 18th. This year’s promenade will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Prom will follow immediately after at the Mutchler Center and will go until 12 a.m.
