
In light of the Governor’s recommendation to close schools for the next four weeks, as of now, Davis County Schools are cancelling classes for Monday, March 16. No teachers or staff will report tomorrow. Administrators will meet so we can learn more from our state leaders and determine our next steps. As we learn more, we will communicate future plans as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Please see the information below regarding the upcoming Iowa State Assessment of Student Progress Testing. This testing will take place Monday, March 16th through Thursday, March 19th.


Come on down to the High School Commons Tuesday night to enjoy some great music performed by the Davis County Middle School and High School Jazz Bands. The Notes of Sweetness Concert will begin at 7 pm. Admission is $5 per person, with a $20 maximum per family. Desserts will be included with the price of admission! Hope to see you all there!

Mustang Pride Day for High School Students is set for Tuesday, April 14th with a rain date of Wednesday, April 22nd. Please call the high school office at 641-664-2200 ext 1132 if you would like a group of students to assist you with any projects!

Prom and all of its festivities will be on April 18th. This year’s promenade will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the high school gym. Prom will follow immediately after at the Mutchler Center and will go until 12 a.m.

To allow the county additional time to clear roads, Davis County Schools will be running on a two-hour delay schedule on Friday, February 14. Buses will run on regular routes.

Pekin has cancelled the girls basketball games for tonight due to their road and parking lot conditions. Also, the 9th grade boys basketball team will be traveling with the JV and Varsity basketball teams tonight to EBF. Games will begin at 5pm.
