Girls State Wrestling Send-off:
Jaydee Bircher will compete at the Iowa High School Girls State Wrestling Tournament on Thursday at Coralville Xtreme Arena. Jaydee is the first Mustang female wrestler to qualify for the state meet. Due to classes being cancelled, we were not able to send-off Jaydee in Mustang fashion. Jaydee (26-9) will wrestle in the Class 2A-135lbs class. Her first match will be against Edie Collins (43-9) of Raccoon River, Northwest (Waukee, Waukee NW, Van Meter, ADM). Session 1 begins at 10:00 AM on Thursday.

Due to road conditions, Davis County Schools will have a 2-hour delay on Thursday, February 6.

Just a reminder: Thursday, February 6th, is the last day to have these turned in.

Last week, DCHS Color Guard hosted a Mini Color Guard performance. The team choreographed and taught students in 1st through 6th grade how to perform with flags like they do for marching band. It was a great event inspiring future, potential Color Guard members! Keep an eye out for the return of this activity next year!

Coach Needed:
Davis County is searching for a boys tennis coach to lead our Mustang Boys Tennis program this spring. Practice starts March 17th. In order to coach in high school, you must have a valid Iowa coaching license. Indian Hills is offering it's next coaching authorization class for February 1st and 2nd. Please contact Activities Director, Dave Mason if interested in this position or with any further questions. Mr. Mason can be reached at 641-664-2200 ext. 1190.
Several of Mrs. Byrd’s students have their monochromatic paintings on display at the Davis County Hospital. Students learned monochromatic means painting in “one color”. Thank you to Jodi Atkinson for the frames.
