SCC Cross Country Meet Today in Knoxville:
Some exciting news to share about todays meet
The SCC Network will be producing a first of its kind broadcast for the Conference Cross Country Meet in Knoxville. They will set up 3 wireless cameras along the course route, a stationary camera from their bus location, and an additional camera on the Voice of the SCC Network - Dewayne Cook - as he announces the race along with pre and post-meet interviews he will conduct. Lastly, the SCC Network also has a drone pilot coming to fly a drone along the route as a stationary air shot to go to during the race.
The SCC Network would like to give a huge shout out to Impressive Designs Studio as well as Ink Made Productions for their help in making this logistically possible; providing drone work and generator power respectively.
Sounds like Dewayne will start to plan with the coaches about getting some pre-meet and post-meet interviews and getting everything lined up from the broadcast standpoint.
This broadcast will be for the 2 high school races. The HS girls are scheduled to run first at 5:00. Good Luck Mustangs!

The Construction Building Trades students are taking on projects around the school. Below are some smaller projects they've completed. They will soon take on larger projects in partnership with District Maintenance, Zach Bedford. Mr. Jim Nelson's Construction Building Trades class completes the projects during 6th and 7th periods as part of the Davis County High School Construction Program.
Librarian, Danna Cook, asked the students to create shelving for the end of her bookcases. Students were able to salvage wood from other furniture to match the finish of the book cases. Ms. Cook was very appreciative of their quick turnaround time.
The students also designed a casing for the cords that hang between the new monitors in the HS cafeteria. The students decided to use a mustang stencil with a wood burn technique and a gloss finish.
