Brooke Mason and Alex Batterson will be hosting an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 14th about upcoming international travel opportunities for high school students. Trips to Scotland and Costa Rica are planned for June 2024, and information about the itineraries, cost, fundraising, etc will be shared on Wednesday at 6pm in the HS Commons. Monday, September 26th - 9th/Soph vs Chariton @ Chariton - 6:00 start

It was a great start with two young teams at a large meet with a lot of 3A competition. Girls finished 4th and boys finished 9th out of 15 teams competing.
Volleyball at Chariton:
DC sweeps the Chargers 3-0. 1-0 in the SCC!

The Mustang HS cross country teams will travel to Williamsburg for their meet today.
The location is the Williamsburg Sports Complex (South End of Town), 913 Franklin Street, Williamsburg, IA 52361.

5th Grade Parents... It's time to Strike Up the Band! 🎼
Beginning Band Rental Night with West Music, and a question/answer with Mrs. Cook is Tuesday, Sept. 20, 3:45-6:30pm in the MS Music Room. I will be working with 5th grade right away at the beginning of the year on instrument selection. A survey that all 5th grade parents need to fill out was sent to the email you provided to the school today. Look for additional info regarding band in your email in the coming weeks. Mrs. Byrd's 3-5th grade art class will have the opportunity to be submitted into a coloring contest for the Pulaski Corn Show. Students will color a picture of the old school and these will be displayed in the Art Hall in Pulaski from Thursday September 8-Sunday September 11.
There WILL be cash prizes thanks to the Pulaski Corn Show committee:
1st place $50
2nd place $30
3rd place $20
Winners will be announced at the corn show and at school!


Football Friday Night - August 26th: This Friday Night football game vs PCM is Gatorade/Powerade Night at Mustang Stadium! If you bring a 12 pack or larger of Gatorade or Powerade to the game, per person, you will be admitted FREE. Simply drop off your case at the entry gate and you will be hand stamped and allowed entry into the game. The Gatorade or Powerade will be used for the football team during away games this season. Game time is 5:00 for the 9th/Soph game and 7:30 for the varsity game. We appreciate your support! Go Mustangs!

The football scrimmage has been cancelled for tonight in sigourney. DC will host PCM at Mustang Stadium next Friday.

Football Update: Still currently in a lightning delay at Sigourney. If team aren’t on the field by 8:00 the scrimmage will be cancelled. We will keep you updated.
