Please see the following email from Mrs. Melia Piper: Grinnell Mutual, the insurance company, is offering grant money to one of the Fairgrounds in Iowa that submitted a facelift plan. Davis County Fair Board along with our fellow 4 H kids are trying to build a new Ice Cream building. These are the plans we submitted. Citizens have been able to vote twice a day and now it's down to crunch time. As I was talking to some individuals last night we were brainstorming how to get some new voters and that's when I had the idea to involve our students. Voting has almost come to an end so they would only be able to vote today and tomorrow. Voting only takes about 20 seconds! Last I looked we were in 3rd place. With the help of our students I think we could really make this happen. Thanks for your time, support, and help! # DC STRONG Melia Piper https://gleam.io/d02fq/fairground-facelift-2020

DC CSD COVID Update 9-14-20
Dear Davis County, The district will continue using a hybrid schedule through the end of October. We will use the same model we have been using next week (week of September 14th) but will transition to an every other day model of hybrid beginning on Monday, September 21. Schedule for week of September 14th: "A" group students at school on Monday and Tuesday (Sep 14 & 15) "B" group students at school on Thursday and Friday (Sep 17 & 18) Schedule beginning September 21st through October 30th: "A" group students attend in-person at school on ODD calendar dates. "B" group students attend in-person at school on EVEN calendar dates: During the week of October 19th and no later than October 23rd, the district will determine whether or not to continue in the hybrid plan past October 30th. We understand the challenges the hybrid plan may create for families and hope that the changes made to our hybrid plan and early notification will provide families the best opportunity to make necessary adjustments or arrangements. Thank you for understanding and support as we continue to navigate this crisis together as "One School, One Community, One Goal...The Best That We Can Be!" Sincerely, Dan Maeder, Superintendent
