Reminder for Senior Parents: FAFSA and Scholarship Information Meeting is Thursday at 6pm.
What is the FAFSA? Colleges and career/trade schools use the FAFSA form to determine how much financial aid you're eligible to receive, which could include grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. (That's right, the FAFSA could lead to grants and scholarships - which are free monies!)

Did someone say Cattlemen's!? Seniors and their parents are invited to a FAFSA and Scholarship information meeting on Thursday, November 14 at 6PM - Davis County Cattlemen's will be serving the meal! See you Thursday.

What better way to get feedback than to ask the young students, right here at Davis County Schools!? On Monday, our Creative Writing students visited kindergarten and second grade classrooms to read children's books which they have been working on for the past few weeks. The high school students read to several small groups of students and asked for feedback from their listeners. Sharing their stories with the younger students allowed them to put the finishing touches on their project. Through our Creative Writing course, students write poems, short stories, plays, news stories, comic strips, children's books, an autobiography and other types of writing that express creativity.

Our next Alumni Spotlight is on Joe Melvin, a graduate of MIT and Stanford University. As educators, we appreciate him sharing his "desire to attain the best education possible" with our students! Check out Joe's responses, including advice for students!

You will find that this is an accessible course where you can witness the action at several locations. Please note that you cannot reach the finish line area if you are
traveling east between the two most-eastern baseball fields. There is room to watch the
race, but you can’t get to the finish line from there due to flags and a course marshall. To
witness the finish as close as possible you must go around either of those fields, most
quickly to the south.

Best of Luck Mustangs!
