Coaching Certification Opportunity:
This course is approved by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. It is a 55-Hour comprehensive coaching education course that, upon successful completion, will provide participants with the essential knowledge and credentials to earn their coaching authorization license. This is a hybrid class, 12 hours of face-to-face classroom and the additional online course work completed at the participant’s own pace. At the completion of the course work, participants will take two tests and need an 80% or better pass rate to receive the Coaching Authorization Certificate from IHCC.
Once participants pass and receive our certificate, they can complete their application for coaching authorization with the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners, completing all background check forms and submitting all the required fees at www.boee.iowa.gov/licauthorization/coaching-authorization.

Scroll down to the button that says, “Register for a Continuing Education Class.” From here, you will be able to search and pay for the class. Use “Coaching” for the search word.
Remember that parent teacher conferences are this week. Conferences will be held today from 4:30 to 8:00 and Thursday, March 2 from 1:00 - 4:00 and 5:00 to 8:00.
While you are at conferences, please take a few minutes to complete a survey giving input to the 2023-24 school calendar.

The Parade of Bands (5-12 Band) Concert & Music Boosters Soup Supper scheduled for tomorrow(2/16) has been postponed to Friday, Feb. 24th due to the bad weather expected.
Boys Bowling Update:
The boys team finished in 4th place today at the district bowling meet. Max McCoy was the top individual bowler as he finished in 9th place. Good season boys!

The girls bowling team finished in 3rd place at the district bowling meet yesterday.
Mickey Burns, Nevaeh Link and Kodi Pearson finished in 11th, 12th and 13th place individually. Good Season Girls!
